Sequencemaster Alternators change the starting order of several pumps automatically and provide even wear to reduce costly maintenance. Alternators are available for 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 pump systems. For fail safe operation pump alternation takes place at the end of each pumping cycle, after all input circuits are open. The solid state alternators can be programmed for special pumping sequences and provided with special alternation override switches. The 2 pump all-relay alternator has an operator lead select switch for 1-2, 2-1, ALT operation. The solid state alternators for 3 and 4 pump alternators require a "in-auto" input from each pump hand-off-auto switch to place it in alternation. Any pump not "in-auto" is removed from alternation. The alternator can triplex or duplex based on number of pumps in service. Solid State Alternators have unlimited flexibility when using programmable logic controllers. The controller can be programmed for special pumping sequences, pumps in-service, pumps not in-service, hold or alternate. Time delays can be programmed as well as time clock functions.
